Australasian Hydrographic Surveyors Certification Panel (AHSCP)
Interim Management of the AHSCP
The Geospatial Council of Australia entered into liquidation on 21st August 2025.
However, the intention is that the AHSCP will continue – the AHSCP Secretariat works directly for the Hydrographer of Australia, and continues to operate. From March 2023 the AHSCP had operated under the joint umbrella of GCA and Survey+Spatial New Zealand.
The AHSCP has been continuously operating since 1994, and together with the Hydrographer of Australia, is working with industry stakeholders on a suitable pathway with a new umbrella organisation moving forwards.
The date of the first AHSCP meetings for 2026 is still to be advised, pending establishment of payment processes for certification fees and the web interface.
However, the AHSCP Secretariat is accepting new certification applications for initial review. Please contact us for a secure FTP link for upload of your application documents.

Please continue to keep records of any CPD activities you are currently undertaking using the CPD Activity Log so you can upload these records once we have a new CPD system in place and encourage others that you communicate with to do the same.
